SHAH ALAM, 9 Nov (The Star) -- The Selangor Government will be airing its Budget 2008 live via video streaming online in an effort to encourage immediate feedback from the people.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo will table the budget on Nov 19 at 11am at the State Assembly Hall in Shah Alam.
Selangor residents and even those overseas who are keen to listen to what’s in store for the state can log on to www.selangor.gov.my and watch Dr Khir announcing the state budget live. Viewers can then give their feedback at the site as soon as the tabling of the budget is completed.
“Our State Budget 2008 will be interactive. The current broadband access and the Internet are an ideal delivery mechanism for audio and visual screening to allow a live telecast,” said state Multimedia chairman Datuk Ch’ng Toh Eng. |
