Transport Ministry Sec-Gen Welcomes Info Via His e-Mail

PUTRAJAYA, May 24 (Bernama) -- Transport Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Zakaria Bahari welcomes information and complaints from the public who can raise their grouses against the ministry and its agencies via his personal e-mail.

He said the proposals or complaints pertaining to the work scope of his ministry and all departments and agencies under it could be conveyed via his e-mail: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

"This is in line with the statement of the Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN), Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan recently and as part of the efforts to improve service to the people," he said in a statement, here Thursday.

The departments and agencies under the Transport Ministry are the Road Transport Department, Civil Aviation Department, Peninsular Malaysia Maritime Department, the Maritime Department of Sarawak and Sabah, Road Safety Department, The Railway Department, Railway Assets Corporation, the Klang, Bintulu, Kuantan, Kemaman and Johor Port Authorities, Penang Port Commission, the Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA), and the Malaysian Road Safety Research Institute (MIROS).

Meanwhile, the government-linked companies (GLCs) under the ministry are Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB), Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) while private companies monitored by the ministry are AirAsia, Monorel, Transit Rel Ringan (LRT), Express Rail Link (ERL) and the Computerised Vehicles Examination Centre (PUSPAKOM).
